It is not enough to say “we love our children” or that “we should protect life” and not be we willing to really get involved in the children’s lives.
Believing in a pro-life stance often includes valuing and supporting the well-being of children who are in vulnerable situations. Engaging in foster care allows you to directly contribute to the lives of children who may not have a stable or safe home environment, providing them love, safety, and support. By fostering, you can help ensure that children have the opportunity to thrive, making a positive impact in their lives while also embodying your pro-life values through action.
There are more than one way of getting involved. You can get involved in foster care by becoming a foster parent, providing respite for foster families, volunteering with local foster care agencies, donating to organizations that support foster youth, mentoring a child in care, advocating for foster care reform, or participating in community awareness campaigns to promote the need for foster families. Additionally, you can offer your skills such as tutoring, providing transportation, or hosting events to support foster children and families.
